Before Sunset - "Waltz"

This is from the film Before Sunset, Richard Linklater's sequel to his first movie about an American (Ethan Hawke) and a French woman (Julie Delpy) who fall in love in Europe. In this clip, Delpy's character performs a waltz she wrote that describes her experiences in the first movie. I've been a long-time fan of Delpy, and wasn't aware she was such a great musician until I saw this part of the movie (she wrote the lyrics and the music, I believe).

Hi, I am 66 and thought no one was making films such as these two anymore. Excellent - 11 out of 10 for each one, and the same to you for posting this. I truly recommend the 'Before' films to anyone who has ever lost their heart.

I think the beauty is that we don't know what happened- we can make up our own ending, one where they stay together and are happy. Imagine how sad it would be if they made a sequel where everything just falls apart? I think the two previous films would somehow lose their magic. I think we are better not knowing, hard as that may be.

this movie remains one of the most beautiful i have seen- Before Sunrise that is.& it suddenly struck me the plot is similer to smtg Murakami might write- the themes seem to run parallel..
