Also Roger Hodgson and his wife had a daughter in 1979 and a son in 1981 and he wanted to be a devoted dad. Also, Hodgson's then wife and Rick Davies' wife hated each other. Roger's proud of this song (and Don't Leave Me Now) but wasn't happy with the rest of Famous Last Words. On a US radio interview in 1990 with well respected DJ Redbeard he felt Breakfast in America should have been Supertramp's last album. He felt FLW was a last ditch attempt effort to reignite the band but it was the end.
