I don't think I have ever come across anyone who is a 'New Order' fan and dosen't like 'Joy Division'. I really can't believe what I have read on this page, it is most upsetting to think there are people out there who don't realise they are the same band and there music is equally as significant no matter if it's attributed to Joy Division OR New Order. Ian was the one who took Kraftwerk records to band practice, I thought everyone knew that!

yeah well if i had bought coca cola shares back in the 80s i would be a billionaire. who gives a fuck about if. Ian C topped himself so it was he who decided not to go any further with Joy Division. New order are better because they succeeded in spite of Ian C trying to take it away from them. they are the true legends of the new wave not JD...New Order rule!!!

whos to say if curtis didn't leave the band joy divison wouldn't of been even better than new order.he laid down the foundations.

new order are better than joy division could ever be. its my feeling that as great as IC was he was holding them back musically. once he dies they exploded bottom line

they are the best guys and yes because they do so many music styles- how can you class them??? they are house/techno/ rock/ pop. you cant stop thinking about their songs- no 1
