As just pointed out, in many African countries it is not illegal to hunt lion or a lot of other animals for that matter. I do believe it was very poor shooting and it should not take that many shots to kill it.Also, as pointed out, Hunting is one of the MAIN industries in Africa and does huge improvements for conservation and the local communities.

so y wont the community have jobs for travelers to just SEE the animals instead of killing it wouldn't they make more money seeing the same lion around instead of making one trip to kill it? thats y we have zoos u douche. u should realize hunters are taking away something from a habitat just to make money from these trophies. its called greed. something the stock market knows much about. do your hw becuz people like u r the reason y ANYBODY could become president.ass

in addition most hunters hunt trophy animals normally the larger older animals which have past their prime and are on the decline.Did you also know that hunters provide work for the local communities who in most places in Africa are in desperate need unlike many of you self righteous 1st world posters.man has hunted since day one it is innate!Im an African "en ons Jag"

LOL you guys are so naive!!Hunters are the only people who directly invest in Africa's wildlife.Do any of you really know how much it costs to shoot a Lion ? $17 290-00 to $39 400-00The money made from the trophy fee is normally used for the upkeep of these animals I don't see any of you tree huggers doing anything useful for those animals.
