Brilliant use of lighting, it helps to set up the frantic motion of the phasing and the dancing wonderfully.

i think its not really time sigs... more heaps of pianos going at diff times... soz that didnt mean what i meant it to... *sigh*as for apreciating it... i like this one best from his works so far. so my advice is just lie down close your eyes and listen to all the patterns and melodies that one idea makes! its an awesome song, i love it!! tho mby its impossible to enjoy ALL his shit. goodluck tho!

Ok , but i was talking about steve reich's work in general lol, and yes i know about phrasing, theres also quite a bit of interweaving time singatures in a part i think, its based around pedalling aswell, i do know this shiz, its just how do you get around appreciating all of his work, or can you?

the point is that the pianos are phasing one another. look up phasing. then you will understand. did you check out electric counterpoint?
