well, cause for Germans, the 1st part sounds like: Annelise Braun, and Annelise is a german name. So if you are german and your english is bad, you understand Annelise Braun and not all the leaves are brown;)

ah! ruined for me. knowing a great song is actually a cover sort of taints the whole experience for me! i LOVE hendrix' version of "the watchtower", but wish it were HIS song originally (i do not like the original).

Who knew that actually the original version was recorded by singer Barry Ryan at the end of 1965..At that time Ma's & Pa's were looking for musical jobs as backing vocals group..They made the backing vocals for the B.Ryan's song (and other songs of his album)..A few weeks after, they decided to record their own version of the song....with the backing vocals they had previoulsy done for B.Ryan..And their legend began.....!!! |
